Master of business administration ( MBA) and Postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) is a two years master degree course. It gives you many career opportunities across the industries. 

Regardless, any bachelor's degree student can join an MBA course. There are many government and private institutions offering courses along with B-schools. PGDM and MBA both are business-related courses. You will have options to select your specialization after completing the 1st year. Example  Human resource management, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Business analytics. 

It follows a more practical approach in teaching with more case studies and you have part-time and full-time courses available in various universities/ institutions. 

 

Eligibility

The basic eligibility criteria for MBA course: 


Students should have a bachelor's degree with a minimum 50% aggregate to get admission in a good college. 

There are many entrance examinations available all India level, state level and few colleges/B-schools have separate entrance examinations. CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, SNAP, ATMA, NMAT, EMAT these are some the entrance examination for MBA admission

You will have cutoff marks as eligibility criteria followed by interviews, written examination, presentation depending on the college/ university.

Q. Is there any internship included in the curriculum?

A. Yes, you will have 2-3 months of summer internship after completing the 1st year course based on your specialization you can do any internship in an organization.


Q. Do I get assurance for placements form the colleges?

A. Few universities/institutes give assurance for placements. Again it depends on the individual performance and skills. You can check before joining the college about the placements.


Q. What type of Jobs I get after completing my MBA?

A. You will have multiple options across the industries and it also depends on the specialization you choose. You will get jobs like Financial consultant, Marketing manager, Senior HR manager, operation manager, business analyst etc.


Q. What is the difference between MBA and PGDM?

A. Both have similar circular but PGDM gives you more practical knowledge with more case studies and industry exposure.
